1 WAY, 2 WAY AND 3 WAY MANIFOLDS

Manifolds are a set of several valves mounted on the same block with several connections. They are used to isolate a process pipe to an instrument, equalize pressures, differential pressures, isolate pressure gauges, purge, block or calibrate different lines. Depending on the operations we want them to perform, they can have 1, 2 and 3 ways and 1, 2, 3 or 5 valves.

Manifolds can be for direct mounting when are connected directly to pressure transmitters via a standard flange. Alternatively, only threaded connections for the assembly into the instrument are used if a manifold is remote mount type.

2-valve manifolds are used for single pressure level applications, 3 and 5 valve manifolds are used for differential pressures.

M2L One way and two-valve manifold. For in-line mounting M32B Two way, three-valve manifold. Forged body with double flange. For direct coupling on the transmitter.
M2D One way and two-valve manifold. For direct mounting to the transmitter. M5L Two way, five-valve manifold. For in-line mounting.
M3L o M3LE Two way, three-valve manifold. For in-line mounting. M5D Two way, five-valve manifold. For direct coupling to the transmitter.
M3D o M3DE Two way, three-valve manifold. For direct coupling to the transmitter M13 One way inlet and three outlets shut-off valve.

Benefits

Manifolds have a compact design that allows installation in tight spaces.

Each plant layout will have a suitable manifold depending on the instruments and space, but generally, the difference between a remote or a direct manifold:

The advantage of using a direct assembly manifold is that head loss and pressure fluctuations are reduced since the manifolds are directly connected to the instruments.

The advantage of remotely installed manifolds is that the flow can be cut off much further away from the instruments so we ensure the fluid temperature does not affect the instrument.
